報告內容簡介:

Healthcare is undergoing transformative shifts with the integration of innovations like gene editing, medical artificial intelligence (AI), and brain-machine interfaces. These advancements promise to enhance patient care, revolutionize diagnostics, and propel medical research forward. However, the pace of these developments introduces complex ethical, legal, and societal challenges.

This lecture will explore the ethical dimensions of emerging healthcare technologies, focusing on critical issues such as patient autonomy, informed consent, data privacy, and equitable access. Particular attention will be given to the ethical implications of gene editing, AI in diagnostics, and precision medicine, as well as the growing role of telehealth and remote care platforms. Issues such as algorithmic bias in AI, data security, and the need for equitable access to advanced medical tools will be discussed. By engaging in open dialogue and thoughtful regulation, we can ensure that technological progress contributes to a fair, inclusive, and ethically sound healthcare future.
